Purpose of the website

Ethyka is an open standard for ethics and anti-manipulation in AI agents, together with the tools to generate and implement it. The purpose of this site is to inform about the standard and its associated services, to provide the standard's file generator, and to enable contact with the team.

Applicable framework

The operation of this site is governed by Spanish and European legislation, in particular: the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679; Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 of 5 December on the Protection of Personal Data and guarantee of digital rights (LOPDGDD); and Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE).

Terms of use and liability

Anyone accessing this site becomes a User and undertakes to make diligent and lawful use of its contents. The Controller is not liable for damages, direct or indirect, arising from the User's use of the site.

The contents of the site are informational and educational in nature. They do not constitute legal advice and may not reflect the latest regulatory changes; they must not be applied to specific cases without appropriate professional consultation. The Controller reserves the right to modify the information on the site at any time and without prior notice.

The Controller has reviewed the site to ensure it works correctly, but does not guarantee the absence of errors or interruptions due to maintenance or force majeure, nor is it liable for viruses introduced by third parties.

The Ethyka standard and intellectual property

The Ethyka standard (the format and files such as ethics.md and manipulation.md) is published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) license: it may be used, adapted and redistributed, crediting Ethyka as the author.

The rest of the website —its code, design, logos, texts and graphics— is owned by the Controller or duly licensed, and is protected by intellectual and industrial property legislation. Beyond the standard's CC BY 4.0 license, reproduction of the site in whole or in part is not permitted without prior written authorisation.

Experimental nature of the standard

As of today, the Ethyka standard is an experimental test protocol, subject to constant change. It is provided “as is”, with no warranty of fitness for a particular purpose nor any guarantee that adopting it ensures regulatory compliance. Any implementation carried out without the Controller's guidance is undertaken solely at the User's own risk, and the User assumes the consequences arising from such implementation. The Controller shall not be liable for any damages, direct or indirect, arising from the use or implementation of the standard.

Third-party links

The site may contain links to third-party pages. The Controller assumes no responsibility for their content, accuracy or legality, and will immediately remove any link to content that may infringe applicable law.

Governing law and jurisdiction

The relationship between the Controller and the User is governed by Spanish law. The language of drafting and interpretation of this legal notice is Spanish. For the resolution of disputes, both parties submit to the Courts of the User's domicile.
